I was fiddling with an install of Gentoo and wanted to see what would happen if you ran /sbin/rc shutdown.
Teknic never showed the box going down, so I tried to Shutdown from there. A few minutes later I tred a Hard Shutdown, and received the "VM is Locked: Return to main" message.

Ok... the regular shutdown was failing (it runs rc 5 in the VM). Hard shutdown just skips that and destroys the VM. Unfortunately, the regular shutdown locks the VM so the hard shutdown can't be run then. We will have to write some smart logic to see if a regular shutdown is running to also allow a hard shutdown. I'll update this thread when it is implemented.

Could be somewhat my fault, I didn't exactly give the soft shutdown time to complete before I tried to do a Hard Shutdown...
In any case, Matt kicked it, and it started acting right!

Ok... we've made it so matter what a hard shutdown will be possible. During all the other operations the VM is already shutdown except for snapshot, and it's actually ok to stop/start when it is doing that, just not restore snapshot/reload os.
