Another snapshot feature

Yesterday I went to the "Manage Snapshots" section of the Control Panel, clicked the "Restore Snapshot" button, and received a message that the restore was in progress. While this is what I wanted, I was a little surprised and dismayed that I did not receive a confirmation prompt before the snapshot manager merrily overwrote my data. (Note: I had already shutdown the VM, perhaps this is why I didn't get a prompt?).

As the "Restore Snapshot" button is right in between the "Perform Snapshot" and "Download Snapshot" buttons, it would be all too easy to accidentally click "Restore Snapshot" by accident. I urge you to add a confirmation prompt before restoring snapshots. Let us not tempt the Gods of Chaos anymore than we must.

I agree. A confirmation should be added.

Snapshots are "dangerous" and a tired mind can make mistakes...

GGGGRRRRRR. I just logged in to my Teknic after the recent "unplugged network cable" issue that caused VM16 to be offline for a couple of hours. I decided that now would be a good time to run a new snapshot seeing as I hadn't done it for a few days and had made various changes to my configuration... didn't want to lose these due to a power failure or other unforseen circumstance.

Well... guess what, it's 1.35 am here and my tired mind just let me down. The restore snapshot button looks far too similar to the "make snapshot" button or whatever it is - I can't see it now as my VM is still in the process of being nuked:

VM is Restoring: Return to main. Please wait for the previous operation to complete.
I've now lost all my recent setups from over the past couple of days.

Any news on when we might have a "are you sure you want to revert to your previous snapshot made XXX days ago" warning?

Bring on the upgrades! Please... Or even sneak this one in to the current 2.0 Teknic release if 3.0 or whatever is still a way off. Surely it would not be such a massive change to implement?

Teknic 3.0 is almost complete. It is an entire rewrite in PHP. We just need to put together the first skin for it and we will be announcing a beta test.
