Hello,
I use the RSS feed of the forums to keep abreast of developments with hosting. I have recently noticed that the feed is only updating when there is a new topic created. I would instead like to see whenever any topic has been updated or created. If there is already another feed that does this, so much the better. Thanks for all the good work.

I've just done a quick search of the site and I can't find a URL for the feed anywhere. Could you tell me where or what it is please?

My RSS reader says its feed is http://www.unixshell.com/forum/external.php?type=rss

But I think I just entered http://www.unixshell.com/forum and it found the feed automatically.

Thanks for that :) Incidentally, I've found that you can set this forum up to notify you of posts by email when you are subscribed to a thread (it's under UserCP | Edit Options) but unfortunately, it seems that the only way to subscribe to a thread is to post to it :(

Email is _so_ much more straightforward.

you can subscribe without posting. Select Thread tools -> Subscribe.

But the fact remains that the rss feed isn't reporting on new posts, just new topics, which is misleading.

Duhh! now I see it, thanks ;)

But although you posted 12 hours ago I haven't received an email notification despite having clicked on the link in an earlier email as it said I must to receive further notifications.

I *hate* these awful html/javascript/php ... forum things. It's almost like you have to learn the ins and outs of a new email client for every forum you might want to post in - they're quirky and they're sloowwww...

To any unixshell admins that might be reading this, is there any possibility of adding on an email gateway?
