Hello everybody!
I'm a new member on this forum, and have some questions. I know that they are almost impossible to answer, but I would need some estimation.
I have recently growed out of the shared hosting (at Powweb), and am looking for a decent VPS that can satisfy the requeriments for my website. However I don't really know that kind of plan would be enough. My budget is very limited (appr. up to 40 USD per month, at least in the beginning).
My website recieves daily about 200 000 hits and 65 000 - 70 000 page views. It uses PHP and MySQL. Approximately (this is rough estimation) every page uses about 5 mysql queries (threee selects and two inserts). The SQL queries are fairly optimized, and most of them can probably be cached (to gain speed). The (biggest) tables involved are 12 and 7 MB big, so I think that all tables could be kept in RAM (to gain speed).
The question is if someone can estimate which plan would be enough?
And if I have understood the VPS architecture correctly that means that I can't bogg down the entire server and therefore be threated as an abuser and kicked out?
