I just want to ask Matta, the guy who it looks like runs unixshell#, whether unixshell# is actually able to setup accounts?
I read on the site that you cannot oversell, so maybe you've been overbooked?
I am waiting, and so are a few other people here- for our new accounts.

About the support posts:
It says on the site that there is support, for things out of our reach. When you signup for an unmanaged vps, thats unmanaged, it means you manage it. You dont post support tickets saying "I cant get my email to connect" or "apache keeps crashing" etc. Support is for saying "I rebooted and my vps crashed, I've been waiting since 2003 and cant do anything" etc. Maybe you should ignore the kids who want help with <title> and start getting some accounts up and running.

This is really un-called for. This issue has been addressed on the forum already and there is a notice on the order form stating accounts are pending up to 6 days. It's been up for 3 days now so if you are waiting for 1 day now then it was up when you ordered.

Yeah I got my account now.
Just sorting out a dedi ip to use on it, didnt know that the ips wouldnt be dedicated, maybe add this on the plans page with the IP(s)?

What do you mean the IP's arn't dedicated? Of course they are... how else would it work? Each VPS receives 1 dedicated (static) IP address by default.

Btw,timing in account setup is rather good now.
I order "The 64" 16 hours ago and got login details 5 hours ago.
(So it is 11 hours.not so bad).

Oh at first I thought it was dedicated, but that ip wasnt liking my connections.

I could connect to xs.splamoni.net but not 67.254.53.245, hmm I'll have a look at binding.

Also can I ask if theres a typo with gentoo 2005, it says 1MB, or is it just small?

Do you really connect to (your VPS) at 67.254.53.245?
DNS take some time to update. Also - Did you setup your REVERSE DNS(via Tektonic's panel)?
About gentoo 2005.0 - it may take 1 Mb somethere -:) but after I install it it takes 1.9 Gb of space.

Looks like I made a mistake when entering his IP in the DC. It should be 65.* not 67.* . Fixing now..

Ok,wasn't a mistake on this side. The IP was right, just listed here on the forum wrong.

You need to first install (reload) the OS and then start the VM. The you can ssh in as root to your IP address.
