Hey guys,
Ive been with Unixshell for a good while now, ever since I saw a promotion on Webhostingtalk forums and decided to go try them. Back then I had been with many different hosting providers already and had been thru several things I would describe as "bad experiences".. where I didnt get what I paid for, or got thrown out due to excessive resource usage. I have also had a VPS in the past, but I let it go as it had too much downtime and it were too expensive for me.
But with Unixshell.. Ive had NO trouble whatsoever!
I even suspected intruders in my box once (some months ago now), and even though my VPS is unmanaged I reported this along with my login credentials asking if they could have a look, and that was no problem.. shortly after I got a nice bunch of detailed info which told the support guy there had been no access by others, which seemed to be correct.
I have also not noticed that much downtime with this box, no way near as much as with my old provider atleast. Although I still notice it every now and then (but still, very rarely=).
The box is also doing just awsome.. (I am with the 64-plan, I have 64MB ram and 3GB space). I just love having my own IP on such a fast connected box for such a low price connected to the internet 24/7, plus Ive had no problems of any kind so far, and support is also quick to respond and very helpful aswell.
Currently I run apache with several addon modules, php (also with several addon extensions), perl, mysql, webmin, awstats (update scripts in crontab), vsftpd and a bunch of other stuff! (I use CentOS on it now, I used Fedora a few months ago (I should also say Im a newbie to Linux=)), aswell as hosting 6 webpages on it where one of them have a vBulletin forum where we have had 10 users online at same time (usually a constant 1-5 users) where it seemed to load just excellent, just as normal. Our users also said they have no problems with the sites, its going fast enough=) To test around a little I also once had 500+ users download a 50kb file from it (at once!).. also no problem, they all seemed to have got it very quickly. About a year ago I also hosted a Shoutcast server on it with max quality.. everything worked perfect there aswell! =)
Just wanted to say to any possible future customers, staff, current users etc.. Unixshell is great!! Thanks alot to the Unixshell guys for providing such excellent service! I have never regretted using them and hope they will stay online forever! Out of testing probably 10+ webhosts/isps of different kinds now over the years, I have been with Unixshell since march 2006 and its only been going smoothly ever since.. not one single thing that whent bad =)
I'll be upgrading my plan very soon (if possible) and plan to pre-order for a year or more aswell. I just hope you never go out of business because I'd like to make you my host forever =)
Well.. thats it. Just wanted to express my apprecciation for Unixshell.. after many years of being with different hosts its the best one Ive tried!
