Hi,
For the last several days, I cannot send email to any address @aol.com. The AOL MXes keep deferring my mail with a 421 temporary deferral. The reason given is that they cannot resolve my IP address 65.254.53.188 into a host name. I know that there's nothing wrong with the reverse resolution, because I can look up the host name myself, and so can www.dnsstuff.com.
Does anyone else have this problem with AOL?
I have observed though, that the TTL on my PTR record is only 60 seconds, so it makes me wonder if AOL doesn't like that. I'd love to hear from anyone else who might be having similar problems.
Anand
