View Full Version : System clock off
I noticed this evening that the system clock in my vm is ~2 minutes slow. I tried using ntpdate to correct the clock, but all it does is show the offset and and not update the clock. So, I'm assuming I can't actually change the system clock. Is there anything I can do to keep the system clock in my vm in sync or is that something that needs to be done from the host vm?
Thanks

We're working on a perm solution... problem is ntpdate skews the date too much and ntpd just plain doesn't work 75% of the time. Right now i'll just force a sync on all servers.
Heh, cool. Thanks alot! :D

To set the time on your VM do "echo 1 > /proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock".
Right on! :D

There's some at Xen homepage http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/netos/xen/ and at http://xen.epiuse.com/xen-faq.txt
